Peeking at the Pilgrim Potato
We were feeling pretty smug that we'd already managed to find five Mr. Potato Heads. We should've guessed that at this point our quest for the one and only original Mr. Potato Head at Hasbro Headquarters in Pawtucket would present some challenges and test the patience of poor Bruce, who did all of the driving. At 5:27 p.m., we sped past Spud Light, the lighthouse-themed Mr. Potato head visible from I-95 at Beacon Mutual headquarters in Warwick, but there was no easy place to pull off the highway, so we missed photographing the sixth Potato Head we discovered. At 5:48 p.m., after spending a bit too long trying to find our way around downtown Pawtucket, we finally arrive at the Blackstone Valley Visitor Center, only to find that it is already closed. Sandy, Bill, and Bruce peek inside to see the Potato Head attired as William Blackstone the Pilgrim.
